proposal.

where to begin.....
i will try and keep this short & sweet but it's very hard to do so.
{by the way--sorry for not posting this already--things are a bit crazy on this end}

well if you noticed my blog on friday, you would know e & i went to see the Adjustment Bureau.
we loved it by the way.
The movie was at 7pm and after that we were heading home.
I suggested we should go get some frozen yogurt.

He jumped at the idea and then changed his reaction a few seconds later.
He convinced me that we should ask my parents if they wanted some.
We went home, they said yes and we were off to go get yummy frozen yogurt....or so i thought.
We were driving in that direction and all of the sudden e says,

"i know a better place" and flips a u-turn
I was a little confused but didn't think too much of it.
We then proceed to I-215!?
By then I was getting confused and asked a few times, "where on earth we were going?"
Then the conversation went a bit like this:
a: This is nowhere near a yogurt stop. Where are you taking me? This is the way to the airport.
e: Well, where do you want to go?
a: I thought we were getting yogurt?!
e: Where do you want to go?
a: The airport....?
e: Where do you want to go?
a: NEW YORK CITY.
e: k. lets go to new york!
a: your joking me.
e: ali, were going to new york city.
a: WHAAA? WHO? WHAT? WHEN? HOW? WHY?
e: no response
a: i don't believe you.
e: i promise
a: pinky promise?
..............it goes on for awhile.
i didn't believe him until he had parked by the curb and brought the luggage to the car window.
i started crying like a baby.
my parents show up to take his car & we were on our flight.
false: i was so overwhelmed/grateful/confused/excited/surprised
i just stopped and told e how much i loved him. we hugged and kissed

and then...after he answered 329573849 questions we were on our flight.

he got us two rooms in the marriot downtown and we had early check in.

we took a baby nap and left for the day.

it was such a beautiful day and i absolutely loved walking around and enjoying every minute.
i really do love new york city!!
we took another little nap and got ready for the night.
we ate a yummy quaint italian joint. so yummy.
then he told me he had another surprise. he didn't seem nervous so i didn't suspect.
next thing i know we were at the front doors of the EMPIRE state building.
i was SO excited! i had never gone to the top before!
we walked around, listened to the saxophone player and the view was spectacular.
life couldn't get much better....
until he told me he had tickets to the 102nd floor. wow.
we went up with the elevator man and he explained so many things about nyc that i didn't know.
{we were having so much fun and learning so much! highly recommend doing that!}
after that e & i were just looking over the city in a corner and he start talking...
i then suspected something because he was getting all nervous on me.
he expressed his love for me
.......personal stuff......

then the next thing i know,
"i want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?"
YES! crying. I LOVE YOU.
enough hugs & kisses to go around.

we of course reenacted it for everyone else to see & got some good pictures doing it.
we celebrated with smoothies and a walk to our hotel.
eric crashed on the bed while i made phone calls and sent text messages!

the next day started off with me waking my fiance up by jumping on his bed!!
we did some more fun things during the day and then took our flight home that night.
i stayed up talking to my parents until 3am.

now we are rolling with wedding plans!
april 21. 2011 we will be sealed in the Bountiful Temple!!
i'll give more details about that date to come
