vacations.

i am VERY grateful for vacations & traveling.

i realized i didn't blog about our trip to Texas!

we had such a fun time working hard, eating great, and having good ol' fashion fun.

we went to Madisonville. tiny town where everyone knows everyone.

the boys worked hard with the cattle & other big projects on the ranch.

the girls cleaned up the house & barn, and cooked and taaaalked!

i had my first experience with a scorpion. scary...

for fun we went out on the 4wheelers, shot some guns {still scares me so bad}

went into town, did some thrifting, looked at old beautiful houses, & played board games.

thank heavens for travel!

this tree & swing are my favorite part of the ranch.

that is the driveway from off the main road.

so picture perfect.

before our flight home we stopped at the cemetary.

i asked jim & ruby to stand behind the headstone for a picture...everyone thought it was so weird?!

i thought everyone took pictures like that?!

anyway i'm glad i have it for posterity!

here is eric being sarcastic holding our barn wood. {that was my only request heading to texas} they had extra wood from their previous barn and so i picked out some gorgeous grain pieces for a frame in our house now!
